GAMH does not provide immediate mental health support or 24-hour services.

If you feel like you need immediate support and help, there are options available to you.

Samaritans

Samaritans run a free, confidential 24-hour phoneline. They offer a safe space to talk any time, in your own way, about your worries, troubles, or whatever’s getting to you.

NHS 24

If you are ill, or you need help with mental health distress, and feel it can’t wait until your GP re-opens, you can call NHS 24 on 111.

If you or someone is seriously ill, seriously injured or their life is at risk, call 999 for an emergency ambulance.

Breathing Space is a free, confidential phoneline for anyone in Scotland who is feeling low, stressed or anxious.
